How Do I Get Rewards?

Rewards are a key part of the L'Oréalistar program, and you can get them in multiple ways: through sampling opportunities (no stars required), by redeeming stars earned from challenges, or by progressing through tiers to unlock exclusive benefits. Below, we explain how each works.

 

🎁 Getting Rewards from Sampling Opportunities

Sampling allows you to request to participate for free products—no stars required to claim. If approved, the product is yours, shipped at no cost.

How It Works:

• 📅 Browse available sampling – Check the platform to see if new opportunities are open. These are found on the middle “heart” tab of bottom navigation.
• 🛍️ Request to participate – Submit your application; if approved, you'll be notified. You may opt into up to two sampling opportunities per month.
• 📦 Receive your product – Your item will be shipped to the address in your profile at no cost (no payment required for products or shipping).
• 📝 Complete related challenges – You'll be invited to 3 content-based challenges to earn stars for additional rewards.

⚠️ Brand Safety Reminder: Never post anything abusive, offensive, or inappropriate. Content that does not align with the Social Media Content Policy, the Program Terms, and the Do’s and Don’ts, will be rejected, and repeated violations could result in removal from the community.

🏆 Getting Rewards by Accumulating Stars from Challenges

Earn stars by completing challenges, then redeem them for rewards in the Rewards section. To see what rewards are available, visit the Rewards section and check how many stars are needed for each.

How It Works:

• 🔥 Complete challenges –
  • 🔹 Non-content challenges: Everyone is invited; tasks like joining community chats (open at specific times—members informed weekly via notifications or email), completing surveys, and more.
  • 🔹 Content challenges: Linked to sampling; if products are available, invited to 3 challenges. Post on the specified platform (TikTok or IG) and follow the brief.
• ⭐ Earn stars – Each challenge rewards you with a set number of stars (varies per challenge). For content challenges, submit for review within 1 hour of posting; if accepted, stars are awarded. Stars expire after a rolling 12-month period (i.e., 12 months from the date of award). After 12 months of reward date, if there has not been any Program Activity, the stars will expire and cannot be re-used, transferred, refunded, or redeemed for cash (except where required by law).
• 🎟️ Redeem stars for rewards – Use your stars to claim available rewards like products, swag, classes, or surprise PR boxes in the Rewards section.

Important: The number of stars required for each reward is determined by the brand. Ensure your social accounts (Instagram Creator or Business linked to Facebook and/or TikTok) are connected for content tracking.

As you accumulate stars and complete challenges, you progress through tiers (L'Oréalistars, Premium, Platinum), unlocking exclusive rewards and benefits like priority product access and events.
