  • I Just Got Accepted into L'Oréalistar, What Do I Do Now?

    🎉 Welcome to the L'Oréalistar Community!

    Now that you've been accepted, you’re officially part of the L'Oréalistar creator community! This means you can start participating in sampling opportunities and challenges to earn stars and redeem for rewards.

    Multiple brands are included, so the opportunities available may vary across brands like CeraVe, Essie, Garnier, Kérastase, L'Oréal Paris, Maybelline, and Urban Decay. You may opt into up to two sampling opportunities per month. You can browse the Sampling and Challenges sections to see what’s currently available to you.

    🔹 Step 1: Complete Your Profile

    Before participating, make sure your profile is up to date:

    • ✅ Log in to the L'Oréalistar platform at us.lorealistar.com.
    • ✅ Navigate to Your Profile (on the top right of the app).
    • ✅ Connect Your Social Accounts (Instagram Creator or Business account linked to Facebook and/or TikTok) – Required for content tracking and eligibility. Otherwise, we won't be able to track your content for challenges.
    • ✅ Update Your Shipping Address – If sampling products are available, they’ll be shipped to this address at no cost to you (no payment required for products or shipping).
    Reminder: Make sure your social accounts are properly connected and remain public with at least 1,000 followers avoid any issues with content submissions and maintain eligibility!

    🔹 Step 2: Explore Available Sampling and Challenges

    Now that your profile is set up, let’s go over the different types of opportunities:

    • 🔸 Sampling – Opportunities to apply for products. Click on the heart icon in the middle of the bottom navigation to request full-size products for sampling. Request products, and if still available, you will be notified, and the product will be shipped to you. 
    • 🔸 Challenges – Found in the Challenges section.
      • 🔹 Non-content challenges: Everyone is invited to participate in these, such as joining community chats, completing surveys, and more.
      • 🔹 Content challenges: These are linked to the product you claim from a sampling opportunity. If sampling products are available, you'll be invited to 3 content-based challenges. To complete them, post on the specified platform (TikTok, IG, or YouTube) and follow the requirements. If your content is accepted, you'll earn stars (the number can vary per challenge).
    📌 Additional Opportunities:
    You may also explore Events for expert classes, tutorials, and networking opportunities, which can be virtual or physical and filtered by brand. Community chats will be open at specific times, so they won't be active all the time—these timings may change on a week-by-week basis, and members will be informed via notifications or email.

    🔹 Step 3: Join Your First Sampling Opportunity or Challenge 🚀

    To get started:

    1. Browse available opportunities in the Sampling ( middle “heart” tab in bottom navigation) or Challenges section.
    2. Read the details carefully—some have specific requirements, including content guidelines and disclosure requirements!
    3. Click Request to receive products for sampling, or Join for challenges and follow the instructions.
    For Sampling: Submit your application; if accepted, you'll be notified, receive the product shipment, and may be invited to related content challenges.
    For Challenges: For content challenges, create and post content based on the brief, submit it for review within 1 hour of posting. Ensure your content complies with the Social Media Content Policy and any requirements found in a challenge.

    🔹 Step 4: Complete Content Challenges, Track Your Progress & Earn Stars

    If you have claimed a product from a sampling campaign, you will be invited to 3 content challenges. For each challenge, create and submit your content following the provided guidelines. After submitting your application or content:

    • ✔ Check your submission status (Pending, Approved, or Rejected).
    • ✔ If approved, you'll receive your stars. Stars can be redeemed for products, swag, classes, or surprise PR boxes in the Rewards section.
    • ✔ Keep an eye out for new opportunities—opportunities update regularly! Stars expire after a rolling 12-month period (i.e., 12 months from the date of award).

    🚀 Understanding Sampling & Challenges

    Brands offer different types of activities to help creators engage, create content, and earn stars. These activities include Sampling and Challenges. Each one works differently, so let’s break them down.

    Note: Opportunities may vary across brands like CeraVe, Essie, Garnier, Kérastase, L'Oréal Paris, Maybelline, and Urban Decay. To see what’s available to you, check the Sampling and Challenges sections.

    🎁 What Is Sampling?

    Creators request to particpitate in Sampling Opportunities where they request free products and, if accepted, share feedback or content about them. You must request to receive, and each L’Orealistar is eligible to participate in two new sampling opportunities every month

    How Sampling Works:

    • 📅 Check available sampling – Browse the platform for open opportunities. These are found on the middle “heart” tab of bottom navigation.
    • 🛍️ Request to participate – Request product; if available, you'll be notified.
    • 📦 Receive your product – It will be shipped to your address at no cost (no payment required for products or shipping).
    • 📝 Complete related challenges – Once you are confirmed to receive sampling for a product, you’ll be invited to 3 content-based challenges linked to the product.

    🏆 What Are Challenges?

    Challenges are engaging tasks that promote creativity in content creation, and allow you to earn stars. These can be non-content or content-based, and are usually fun and rewarding!

    How Challenges Work:

    • 🔥 Find challenges – Available in the Challenges section.
    • 📲 Complete a task –
      • 🔹 Non-content challenges: Everyone is invited; tasks like, joining community chats (open at specific times—members informed weekly via notifications or email), completing surveys, and more.
      • 🔹 Content challenges: Linked to sampling products; if products are available, invited to 3 challenges. Post on the specified platform (TikTok, IG or YouTube) and follow the brief.
    • ⭐ Earn stars – If your content is accepted (for content challenges), earn stars that can be redeemed (number varies per challenge). Stars expire after a rolling 12-month period (i.e., 12 months from the date of award). After 12 months of reward date, if there has not been any Program Activity, the stars will expire and cannot be re-used, transferred, refunded, or redeemed for cash (except where required by law).
    Important: For content challenges, submit for review within 1 hour of posting and ensure compliance with the Social Media Content Policy at us.lorealistar.com/brand-guidelines. Follow the specified disclosures and hashtags.

    Rewards are a key part of the L'Oréalistar program, and you can get them in multiple ways: through sampling opportunities (no stars required), by redeeming stars earned from challenges, or by progressing through tiers to unlock exclusive benefits. Below, we explain how each works.

     

    🎁 Getting Rewards from Sampling Opportunities

    Sampling allows you to request to participate for free products—no stars required to claim. If approved, the product is yours, shipped at no cost.

    How It Works:

    • 📅 Browse available sampling – Check the platform to see if new opportunities are open. These are found on the middle “heart” tab of bottom navigation.
    • 🛍️ Request to participate – Submit your application; if approved, you'll be notified. You may opt into up to two sampling opportunities per month.
    • 📦 Receive your product – Your item will be shipped to the address in your profile at no cost (no payment required for products or shipping).
    • 📝 Complete related challenges – You'll be invited to 3 content-based challenges to earn stars for additional rewards.
    ⚠️ Brand Safety Reminder: Never post anything abusive, offensive, or inappropriate. Content that does not align with the Social Media Content Policy, the Program Terms, and the Do’s and Don’ts, will be rejected, and repeated violations could result in removal from the community.

    🏆 Getting Rewards by Accumulating Stars from Challenges

    Earn stars by completing challenges, then redeem them for rewards in the Rewards section. To see what rewards are available, visit the Rewards section and check how many stars are needed for each.

    How It Works:

    • 🔥 Complete challenges –
      • 🔹 Non-content challenges: Everyone is invited; tasks like joining community chats (open at specific times—members informed weekly via notifications or email), completing surveys, and more.
      • 🔹 Content challenges: Linked to sampling; if products are available, invited to 3 challenges. Post on the specified platform (TikTok or IG) and follow the brief.
    • ⭐ Earn stars – Each challenge rewards you with a set number of stars (varies per challenge). For content challenges, submit for review within 1 hour of posting; if accepted, stars are awarded. Stars expire after a rolling 12-month period (i.e., 12 months from the date of award). After 12 months of reward date, if there has not been any Program Activity, the stars will expire and cannot be re-used, transferred, refunded, or redeemed for cash (except where required by law).
    • 🎟️ Redeem stars for rewards – Use your stars to claim available rewards like products, swag, classes, or surprise PR boxes in the Rewards section.
    Important: The number of stars required for each reward is determined by the brand. Ensure your social accounts (Instagram Creator or Business linked to Facebook and/or TikTok) are connected for content tracking.

    As you accumulate stars and complete challenges, you progress through tiers (L'Oréalistars, Premium, Platinum), unlocking exclusive rewards and benefits like priority product access and events.

    How to Progress Through Tiers

    • Complete challenges to accumulate tasks and earn stars—progress is based on both.
    • View your current tier status, completed tasks, and progress on the dashboard.
    • Maintain compliance with the program terms to avoid termination from the program.
